To create a unique selling point within a piece of packaging for twine.
Twine seems to be a product mostly used by crafty people and butchers. I decided my demographic would be a more high-end, arty type of person, and the unique selling point of it would be that it is made from the shredded down canvases of hundreds of paintings that are destroyed every year from weathering, aging, and lack of preservation. The aim was for it to be recycled and therefore perfectly aimed at an environmentally conscious audience, as well as having a romantic story and previous life, meaning one can become the benefactor or patron of a work of art, in a sense, by purchasing it, and in turn helping to preserve a by-gone painting. The packaging design takes its inspiration from this idea.
